CABAGNOT OUT FOR 2 WEEKS

Namimiligrong maputol ang winning streak ng Petron Blaze Boosters.

Nagtamo kasi ng bad sprain ang top point guard ng team na si Alex Cabagnot.

Napag-alaman ng Frost Byte na nakasaklay ngayon ang 30-year-old sentinel sanhi ng inverted sprained right ankle.

“Gusto kong lumaro bukas… Pero I can’t. I am on crutches now,” wika ni Cabagnot na dalawang araw ring hindi nakasama ng Petron sa practice.

Nakuha ng 2005 2nd overall pick ang injury matapos na madaganan ni Mark Caguioa sa isang fastbreak play noong Linggo ng gabi.

“Wala naming punit sa tendon and walang fracture. Thank God,” paliwanag ni Cabaganot sa kanyang injury.

Gayunpaman, mahina ang dalawang linggong pahinga na kakailanganin ng dating Eagle Rock High School standout.

Kung magiging maayos ang kanyang recovery, sa March 1 pa maaring makabalik sa aksyon ang ever smiling court orchestrator.

“Hindi ko masyado mapilit yung paa ko kasi it’s not just my foot, but I also tweaked the back part of my knee… It affected the whole leg,” dagdag pa nito.

Samantala, inihayag naman ni Cabagnot na lalaro na sa Miyerkules kontra Meralco Bolts ang kanilang isa pang point guard na si Chico Lanete.

Ang dating Lyceum Pirate ay nagpaliban sa huling laro ng Petron dahil sa thigh bruise injury.

“Yup, Chico will play na. Tapos andun pa si Denok (Miranda). So Petroniverse need not worry”, pagsasara ni Cabagnot.
