BOLTS LOOKING TO END SKID GOING INTO QF
Meralco gets its last workout before the playoffs begin as it wraps up its eliminations schedule against Blackwater in the 2015 PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Bolts want to end their two-game skid and at least get a much needed positive vibe entering the quarterfinals, but they have to get through the also-ran Elite first.
“We’re already qualified for the playoffs so our placing wouldn’t really be a problem,” said coach Norman Black. “We’ll be ready, for sure.”
Currently at 6-4, Meralco will finish no lower than fifth and their quarterfinal matchup with NLEX is the only duel certain in this stage of the tourney.
But Black has to make do with a lineup without Cliff Hodge, who is out with an ankle injury.
Blackwater, for its part, will be gunning for a graceful exit, with a third victory this conference.
Game time is at 4:15 p.m. (RL)
