2015 Gatorade PBA Rookie Draft: D-Day for 63 rookies
It’s the most anticipated day for 63 hopefuls as the 2015 Gatorade PBA Rookie Draft rolls on Sunday at Robinsons Midtown in Ermita.
Expected to go 1-2 in this year’s proceedings are Moala Tautuaa and Troy Rosario, though both men won’t be at hand as they are currently with the Gilas Pilipinas squad in Estonia.
Mystery, meanwhile, surrounds the succeeding selections as the pool is filled with great prospects team scouts don’t want to miss.
Possibilities are abound with Gilas cadets Earl Scottie Thompson, Baser Amer, Garvo Lanete, and Almond Vosotros leading this year’s crop of guards.
Art dela Cruz, Glenn Khobuntin, and Chris Newsome prove to be intriguing picks for those looking for wing players, while big men Norbert Torres, Michael Mabulac, and Bradwyn Guinto also have established their presence.
Fil-foreign players Maverick Ahanmisi, Ryan Wetherell, and Simon Enciso have also made waves in the Draft Combine which could help them boost their stocks come draft day, while locals Mark Cruz, Roi Sumang, Aljon Mariano, and Don Trollano also hope to get their names called up by Commissioner Chito Navarsa.
The 2015 Gatorade PBA Draft is set at 2 p.m. with a live telecast on TV5.
