Blackwater took first blood as it brushed aside Barangay Ginebra, 11-6, in the first game of the finals of the Dickies-PBA Women’s 3-o-3 Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Perlas Pilipinas forward Allana Lim gave the Elite a 9-5 lead after converting her and-one play after she got fouled on a jumper from the left elbow.

Lim said the Game 1 victory gave them an edge as they go for the kill in game 2.

“Of course we’ll end it,” Lim said. “We don’t want to prolong this any further.”

Lim added they don’t have a problem chemistry-wise even though they don’t practice regularly.

“We headed into this game without any practice so physically we were not in any good condition, but mentally we knew we had the edge,” Lim said. “We also don’t have a problem with the chemistry either, we’re teammates after all.”
