Meralco center Al-Hussaini exits game with ankle injury
Rabeh Al-Hussaini limped out of Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday after spraining his right ankle, but he will still go home with a smile on his face as Meralco stayed unbeaten in the 2016 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Al-Hussaini only saw limited time on the floor only two minutes and 21 seconds before spraining his right ankle on a rebound play at the 9:38 mark of the second quarter.
“Bad sprain,” the Fil-Kuwaiti center said after the Bolts edged the Phoenix Fuel Masters, 90-87. “It was an awkward landing.”
Still, Al-Hussaini is keeping a positive vibe with the way things transpired.
“It was just an accident. It happened and the good thing was we won,” he said after finishing with two points, one rebound and a block during his short stint on the floor.
Al-Hussaini hopes to recover fast and help Meralco sustain its unbeaten run.
“Hopefully, less than a week or two weeks. I’ll try to make it back as fast as possible,” said Al-Hussaini. “I’ll get over it.”
