Rain or Shine slipped past TNT in a close 12-10 overtime win Wednesday in the PBA Women’s 3×3 Tournament at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Katrina Garcia made the most of her trip to the freethrow line, draining two shots in overtime to take the win. She finished with three points.

But it was Ara Abaca who carried the load for the Elasto Painters, going for eight points including the and-one play with 8.8 seconds left to force overtime.

Karen Salopong topscored for TNT with seven points as the Tropa fell for the first time this conference.

Meanwhile, Regina Tanya dela Merced scored Meralco’s last four points as the Bolts scored a thrilling 15-12 victory over San Miguel in the first game.

Dela Merced took over late and clinched the victory at the free throw line, sinking two charities to get to 15.

She finished with seven points, while Jaira Carmela Baarde added four.

Katherine Binamira also had three for Meralco for its first win in the tourney.

San Miguel remained winless after four games despite the huge boost provided by Denyse Jimenez and Ayra Nil Hufanda, who combined for 11 of the Beermen’s 12 points.
