Rain or Shine reaching the Finals of the PBA Women’s 3×3 Tournament came as a surprise to Ara Abaca.

Abaca admitted that they never even thought they’d get as far as the semifinals.

“We never expected na makapasok ng semis.

But the Elasto Painters even overachieved, winning four games in the eliminations and disposing Ginebra in the semifinals before falling short to eventual champions NLEX.

Though Abaca was disappointed with their finish, she relished the experience of playing in the big stage.

Lahat ng tira nila nagko-connect,” she said.

Abaca said that team work is always key to success in any team.

“Kailangan talaga sa basketball, di pwedeng isa lang,” she said.

“Dapat lahat connected para manalo yung team. Pag hindi kayo connected as a group, mahirap eh.
