ESPINAS FINED P20K
After a thorough review of the January 20, 2014 game between the Alaska Aces and the Meralco Bolts, the Commissioner’s Office has upgraded Gabby Espinas’ Flagrant Foul Penalty 1 to a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2.
The veteran forward was fined P20,000 for the infraction.
“The Flagrant Foul 1 called on Gabby Espinas is hereby upgraded to a flagrant foul 2 for its viciousness and the perceptible intent to play the man and not the ball,” said PBA commissioner Chito Salud.
Since no suspension was meted out, Espinas will be able to suit up in Alaska’s game against Barangay Ginebra San Miguel on Saturday, the Aces’ fourth straight do-or-die game. (RL)
