FREEMAN IN TOWN TO REVIVE KINGS
Gabe Freeman is now in the country in a bid to revive the struggling campaign of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
Team sources told pba.ph that Freeman arrived 3:40 AM Wednesday, and immediately joined the Kings’ 8-10:30 morning practice at the Green Meadows gym.
The high scoring American then went to work on his immigration and Games and Amusement Board papers for him to become eligible to play in Ginebra’s final elimination assignment against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters on Easter Sunday.
Freeman is scheduled to be measured by PBA officials at 1 PM on Saturday. He is expected to pass the tape test as he is said to be 6-5 1/4 or more than three inches shorter than the allowable height for Ginebra’s import.
Freeman will be the Kings’ third import this conference after Leon Rodgers and Josh Powell. (SBadua)
