Three “P’s” are in store as Talk n Text and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel clash in the penultimate play date of the PLDT Home Telpad PBA Governors’ Cup elimination round at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Sunday.

It’s about pride, passion and playoffs seeding as the Tropang Texters and the Kings slug it out at 5:15 p.m.

The Texters will be out to claim playoffs No. 1 ranking for the second straight tournament while the Kings try to seal a spot in the Top Four to enjoy a twice-to-beat bonus in the quarterfinals.

FEATURED STORIES

Though already guaranteed of a win-once edge in the quarters, the Texters are determined to come out strong to stay on a roll and have a momentum to ride on in the post-elims plays.

Of course, the Texters also want to gain the honors of being the elims topnotchers.

The Kings, meanwhile, must hurdle the Texters to avoid the danger of ending up outside the Top Four at the close of the eliminations on Monday.

Last conference, Ginebra placed eighth in the elims and was booted out in the quarterfinals by the top seeded TnT squad.

The Texters have actually won all their head-on matches with the Kings in 2014.

Talk n Text coach Norman Black, however, expects Ginebra to be very dangerous in this particular game.

The Kings bungled their first crack at the Top Four as they bowed to the Alaska Aces, 66-79, Friday.

In their previous two losses, the Kings came back and performed well in their next outing.

The Texters are bracing up for that Ginebra bounce-back Sunday. (SB)
