ALAS JOINS PBA DRAFT
After weighing his options, Kevin Alas has thrown his name into the pool of rookie hopefuls for the 2014 Gatorade PBA Draft.
The son of Alaska assistant coach Louie Alas submitted his papers to the PBA Office Wednesday afternoon, just a couple of hours before the deadline.
“I just want to pursue my dream,” he said in a text message to pba.ph.
Alas, the 2014 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup Most Valuable Player, is expected to be among the top 5 draftees, and could possibly even see himself picked by his D-League team NLEX.
The 2014 Gatorade PBA Rookie Draft is slated on August 24, 4 p.m., at the Robinsons Midtown in Ermita, Manila. (RL)
