BALORIA OUT TO MAKE BELIEVERS
After two years under the guidance of coach Aric del Rosario, Perpetual Help spitfire Juneric Baloria will now take his talents to the PBA.
And the 5-foot-11 Lanao del Norte-born guard knows that he has a lot of eyes watching his every move.
“Medyo pressure sa kin kasi malapit na yung Draft,” he said. “Iba-iba yung mga kasama ko, yung iba magagaling. Kailangan talagang mag-adjust kasi iba yung nasa school.”
Baloria believes that what he has showed in the NCAA and in the 2014 Gatorade PBA Draft Combine is enough for him to be selected by one of the 12 teams in the PBA.
“Medyo maganda naman yung pinakita ko. Ang laki ng adjustment, pero I think meron din naman sigurong na-impress sa pinakita ko,” he said.
But Baloria thinks that he still has to improve on other facets of his game to further establish his name before his pro career starts.
“Kulang pa. Kailangan pa pag-igihan yung paglalaro sa NCAA, kailangan ko pa tapusin,” he said. “Kailangan ko pang magpakita ng magandang laro para mas lalong magustuhan ng mga coaches yung mga nakakakita sa nilalaro ko.” (RL)
