PACQUIAO SETS SEMIS GOAL FOR KIA
Manny Pacquiao might as well be the most polarizing player in the PBA today when he decided to suit up and serve as a playing coach for expansion team KIA Sorento.
But amidst all of the criticisms, the eight division world champion is just taking them all in stride.
“Kasama yan. Kasama palagi yan,” he said in a short chat with pba.ph.
The world’s only 8-division boxing champ is no stranger to these kinds of comments, focusing more instead on his dual role as player and head coach of the Sorentos.
Used to the success he has achieved in his boxing career, Pacquiao also has set a high goal for KIA in its inaugural season in the pro league, saying, “In-e-expect natin na makapasok tayo kahit na semifinals lang.”
And he is determined to take his wealth of experience and discipline in the boxing ring to the hardwood with KIA.
“Yung focus, hardwork, and determination, lahat yun gusto ko dalhin sa team,” he said.
But when asked what the people can expect on his play, Pacquiao just opted to let his game do the talking.
“As a player, depende yan. God is good,” he said. (RL)
