KIA Sorento (Gina)_header

KIA governor Ginia Domingo was realistic when she said that not much is expected from  the Sorento this coming season.

“We have very low expectations for the team this year,” she said. “We built our team from the expansion draft, and we were number 11 sa rookie draft and it was Cong. Manny Pacquiao, our favorite superstar in the team.”

“In terms of chances, we would like to be very positive. Siguro makakapanalo kami, but it’s not very likely that this year, we’ll be among the contenders. We’re not setting our sights on getting into the quarterfinals, but we’d like to have our wins.”

Domingo cited their preseason game against Blackwater in Biñan, Laguna last Saturday, a game which they lost in the second half.

“Yung chances, we tried, pero ang pangit ng shooting namin. Malaki yung challenge dun, and dapat namin pa yun na paghusayan,” she said.

But despite the low expectations, Domingo still wants KIA to be positive in its first season, saying, “In a nutshell, were very positive and very excited about playing in the PBA. We’re excited to once again play against Blackwater, and we hope to see everybody there in the opening.” (RL)
