P140K FINES METED OUT FOR OFFSEASON SCRIMMAGE FIGHT
After reviewing the incident involving NLEX’s Enrico Villanueva and Rain or Shine’s Ryan Araña during an offseason scrimmage and hearing the sides of the players involved, including Rain or Shine’s Jervy Cruz and Jericho Cruz, the office of the Commissioner metes out the following penalties and sanctions:
- For throwing the ball at Enrico Villanueva that instigated the fight that ensued between them, Ryan Araña is fined the amount of P40,000.
- For throwing the first punch and engaging Ryan Araña in a fight, Enrico Villanueva is fined the sum of P40,000.
- For unnecessarily joining the fray and kicking Enrico Villanueva while the latter was down on the floor, Jervy Cruz is fined the amount of P40,000.
- For throwing the ball at Enrico Villanueva, Jericho Cruz is fined the amount of P20,000.
