After struggling in his last three games, Terrence Romeo finally broke out of his slump Tuesday and delivered an impressive 30-point performance to help GlobalPort beat Talk ‘N Text for the first time in franchise history.

Shooting 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, the former UAAP MVP knocked down big shots and fired telling 11 points in the payoff period.

The streakshooting Batang Pier admitted that he really worked hard to buck his bad shooting in the past week or so, saying, “Nag-extra shooting ako.

The win against the Tropang Texters is definitely a big boost for the team’s morale, but coach Pido Jarencio and his wards are still holding on to their cards, as the team approaches a tough stretch heading to the playoffs.

“Malaking dagdag kumpyansa to kasi yung tinalo namin, ilang beses nag-champion sa PBA,” Romeo said.

He added, “Pero di namin ite-take to na mag-relax kami. Every game is important.” (RL)
