For Jay-R Reyes, his trade to San Miguel Beer poses as a new challenge and he hopes to finally land the big one.

“Di pa ako nakakapag-champion kaya sana dito makarating na rin,” he said.

In his nine years and six teams as a pro, the 30-year-old has yet to taste a championship. And with the Beermen coming off of a Philippine Cup championship victory, Reyes believes that he has a big chance to finally win the big one this time out.

Malakas na team yung napuntahan ko kaya masaya talaga,” he said.

And he’s ready to do it all for the Beermen.

But he still feels for his old squad Ginebra, a team he called home for two years.

(RL)
