For the fourth time, the PBA brings Pinoy ball to the Middle East as the league stages two official Governors’ Cup games in May.

Rain or Shine will once again be the busiest team in the Middle East trip as the Elasto Painters play back-to-back games at the Al Shabab Al Arabi Club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

GlobalPort takes first crack at the Elasto Painters on May 21, and the next evening Barangay Ginebra San Miguel takes its turn to battle coach Yeng Guiao and his charges.

“Dubai is a very hot spot for Philippine basketball, be it Gilas or the PBA,” said PBA commissioner Chito Salud. “Our basketball players never fail to entertain and bring joy to our kababayan OFWs in Dubai and other parts of the UAE.”

Rain or Shine was also at the forefront the last time the league staged games in Dubai, during the 2012 Commissioner’s Cup

The E-Painters trumped Barako Bull, 99-95, on February 23, 2012, but could not continue their hit streak as they lost to the Gin Kings the following day, 88-89.

Blckmrkt International and Clique have joined hands in promoting the games. (RL)
