Paul Lee no doubt is one of the reasons why the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters are consistent playoffs campaigner since 2011, leading to the franchise’s first ever championship when they ruled the 2012 Governors’ Cup.

But for Lee, how sweet a PBA crown is remains a mystery, as he recalled how he missed the last 5 games of the down the wire series versus the  B-MEG Llamados (now Purefoods Star Hotshots) due to a re-aggravated shoulder injury.

Lee bared how he has been diligently preparing himself for the Finals even before the Commissioner’s Cup began.

“Nagpakundisyon talaga ako. Kasi last conference, medyo na-burn out ako. Wala talagang pahinga,” said Lee who has shed off  more than 15 pounds this conference.

“Gusto ko talagang tulungan ang team na to na manalo ng championship, gusto ko ulit ng championship,” he said.

To best prepare himself, Lee revelaed how he would take extra hours before and after team practice to hone his shooting and penetration skills.

Pati sa shooting ko, gusto ko na lagi ako ang nasa taas ng stats sheet,” said the top free throw shooting guard.

Asked  why he is so motivated, Lee claimed it’s about giving back the trust coach Yeng Guiao and Rain or Shine management have given him.

So ayaw kong mag relax, gusto kong mas patunayan na tama siya,” added the 26-year old Tondo, Manila pride. (SBadua)
