RR GETS TURN TO SHINE
And Barako Bull’s Russian roulette continues.
It was RR Garcia’s turn to break out on Sunday as the sophomore guard exploded for a career-high 26 points on 4-of-7 shooting from three-point country to help the Energy score a 112-103 victory over Rain or Shine.
But for the former FEU Tamaraw, his excellent performance is more about their squad wanting to end its losing skid against Rain or Shine than his individual achievement.
“Yung team namin, sa tagal na di nanalo sa Rain or Shine, motivated talaga kami manalo,” Garcia bared.
The victory also propelled Barako Bull back to the top of the standings at 5-1, easily the franchise’s best start ever.
Garcia, though, is reminding his teammates to not get complacent as the homsetretch of the eliminations nears.
“Syempre, stay positive lang kami na nananalo kami, dapat buo yung team namin. Kailangan walang mag-rerelax,” he said. (RL)
