Talk ‘N Text finally broke free from its string of losses, scoring a come-from-behind 98-91 win over Blackwater and ending its four-game skid to revive its playoff chances in the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum on Friday.

The subs did it for head coach Jong Uichico as the Tropang Texters outscored the Elite off the bench, 60-32.

Matt Ganuelas-Rosser led the bench mob by dropping 11 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter while hauling down nine rebounds to lead TNT in the win while Sam Dahgles also came off the bench and had 15 markers and six boards.

“We have to keep on working. We haven’t been playing very well, that’s what we’re doing right now,” said Uichico after the game.

Larry Fonacier also got 20 points powered by four treys, one of which giving Talk ‘N Text its first taste of the lead, 75-73 in the fourth period after battling back from being down by 16 early.

At 4-5, the Tropang Texters can still make an argument to make it to the quarterfinals if they can sweep its remaining two games in the elims the defending champion Star Hotshots onTuesday and Kia on June 19.

Blackwater, meanwhile, remained at the bottom of the standings with its fourth consecutive defeat and a 1-7 overall record, moving one loss away from being eliminated from playoffs contention for the third time in as many conferences in its maiden season in the pros.

Rookie Brian Heruela paced the Elite with 21 points, 11 assists, and seven boards, while Marcus Cousin had 16 markers in his first game in the PBA, replacing Marcus Douthit who is with the Philippine national team in the SEA Games in Singapore. (RL)
