HOPING TO STAY AFLOAT

MER-gin hodge

Desperate times dawn on Meralco and Barangay Ginebra.

Though parading two of the most prolific imports this conference, both the Bolts and the Kings have suffered the same fate, struggling to rack up wins putting both in a precarious position at the homestretch of the eliminations.

And with both teams badly in need of a victory, they will try to cancel each other out when Meralco and Ginebra clash 5:15 p.m. Sunday in the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

FEATURED STORIES

At 3-5, Ginebra is currently sitting among the bottom four and in danger of missing out on the playoffs.

Though they fell to Star in the Manila Clasico clash last Sunday, coach Frankie Lim can still take solace knowing that he had a full week to finally incorporate his system with Korean newcomer Jiwan Kim.

More so, Orlando Johnson will still be there providing the points for Ginebra.

But Meralco (4-4) has Andre Emmett to match up against Johnson, and the D-League All-Star MVP will be more than ready to duel with the Kings’ high-scoring reinforcement.

Coach Norman Black has also sung praises for Seiya Ando, who should give Kim a run for his money. (RL)
