TAUTUAA LEADS DRAFT EARLY BIRDS
Fil-Tongan big man Moala Tautuaa leads four other early applicants for the 2015 PBA Rookie Draft slated August 23 at the Robinson’s Midtown in Ermita, Manila.
Joining Tautuaa are D-League standouts Abel Galliguez, Simon Enciso, and Randy Dilay, as well as unknown commodity Joshua Cubillo.
Tautuaa is considered to be the consensus No. 1 pick by scouts as the 6-foot-7 big man has proven to be a force to be reckon with in his stay in the D-League after promising campaigns with Cagayan Valley and Cebuana Lhuillier.
Galliguez, meanwhile, is a diminutive 5-foot-10 guard who has a knack for three-pointers and has knocked down big shots for Cagayan-Gerry’s Grill throughout this conference.
Enciso, who suited up for Cebuana Lhuillier this past season, is more known as a slashing guard who has developed a reliable jumper in the ongoing Foundation Cup which is already in its homestretch.
Blackwater owns the No. 1 pick in the Draft after finishing dead-last in the three conferences, but they will convey the selection to Talk ‘N Text as a result of a previous transaction involving Larry Rodriguez. (RL)
