REKINDLE THE FIRE
Barako Bull coach Koy Banal was at loss for words as the Energy once again dropped a big one, an 89-117 rout at the hands of Star on Sunday.
Tasting their fourth straight defeat, the soft-spoken mentor admitted that he’s already confused on what’s ailing his team.
“The coaches will try their best to prepare them for the game. But it’s up to the players,” he said.
Banal said that the lopsided loss was due to Star wanting the victory more and “It’s a reminder for the players that they have to be ready all the time.”
Already gassed out after his recent adjustments still were not enough to end Barako Bull’s skid, the coach hopes that his players can regain the fire in their eyes in time for the playoffs.
“Wala na akong kontol dun sa kanila. They’re the ones who are in control especially during the game. But we don’t want to point fingers at anybody. We will win and lose as a team,” said Banal. (RL)
