For Denok Miranda, his arrival to the Talk ‘N Text camp signals a number of reunions.

Miranda, the 10-year veteran will once again be running the backcourt with former Sta. Lucia teammates Kelly Williams and Ryan Reyes, together with former San Miguel Beermen Danny Seigle, as the 33-year-old joins the rebuilding Tropang Texters.

“Maganda naman yung pag-welcome sa akin sa Talk ‘N Text. Unang practice ko nga, talagang masaya kasi nagtatawanan pa talaga kaming mga nagkasama dati,” he said.

Aside from being one of the few natural point guards in the league, Miranda has been playing the role of mentor during his stints with his last few teams.

And now, a familiar yet new challenge awaits him in Talk ‘N Text as he will now try to guide top rookie picks Moala Tautuaa and Troy Rosario in their transition to the pro league.

“Malaki yung potential nung mga big guys namin. Di rin naman ako nahihirapan kasi andyan yung ibang veterans para magturo sa kanila,” he said.

But other than his off-court obligations, Miranda will still be needed on the floor, as he will be expected to backup Jayson Castro and Ryan Reyes for the playmaking duties for TNT.

“Yung task ko is ma-organize yung offense and defense namin para pagdating ng season, ready na kami,” he said.

“Ang system na pinapasok ni coach Jong (Uichico) sa amin, ikot ng bola and share the ball talaga. Pero ang kailangan namin is every game, every practice, we try to be better.”
