Hubalde takes on leadership role for young Mahindra
A new challenge dawns on Paolo Hubalde as he is expected to be one of the leaders for the young Mahindra squad.
Hubalde’s arrival boosts the backcourt of the Enforcers as he teams up with LA Revilla and Karl Dehesa.
“Ang hinihingi ni coach sa akin is leadership and guidance kasi bata yung team. Kung matapat na makatulong ako in other ways sa loob ng court, basically nagawa ko na ang trabaho ko dito,” the 34-year-old Hubalde said.
Hubalde has been through the ups-and-downs throughout his career having bounced around to several teams.
And he knows that this early, the Enforcers have to shrug off the bitter taste left by last season’s campaign for the team to have a better season this year.
“Kailangan nilang matanggal yung frustrations at maliliit na bagay sa game,” he said.
The 5-foot-11 guard also reiterated that the players still has to earn the respect of the league, something which Mahindra hope they get with the acquisitions of Hubalde, Nino Canaleta, and Aldrech Ramos.
“Hindi sila kilala nung mga kalaban dahil bago sila, so I just tell them if you just work hard, believe and give your best, it will all work out eventually,” said Hubalde.
