2015-16 PBA Season Preview: GlobalPort Batang Pier
When talking about GlobalPort, the conversation always revolved around its dynamic backcourt duo of Stanley Pringle and Terrence Romeo.
It was really hard to avoid especially with the Gilas Pilipinas breakout star and Rookie-of-the-year running the show for the Batang Pier last season.
But with new guys in tow, head coach Pido Jarencio is expecting their offense to spread and not just rely on the guards.
“Maraming magko-contribute for sure,” he said.
Over the off-season, GlobalPort acquired the services of veterans Joseph Yeo, Jay Washington, Jonathan Uyloan, and Dorian Peña but also infused young blood with rookies Roi Sumang and Philip Paniamogan.
And with the added depth and a year’s experience to its belt, GlobalPort is aspiring for bigger goals this season.
“With veterans and mga batang players, may magandang combination yung team ngayon na lalaban,” said Jarencio.
