Ginebra, Alaska rise in Dickies-PBA Women’s 3-on-3
Ginebra came alive in the clutch for 15-11 win against GlobalPort in the PBA Dickies Women’s 3-on-3 Tournament Friday at Philsports Arena.
Maria Michaela Bautista drained two huge buckets in the final minute while as Angeli Gloriani clinched the game at the free throw line with 2.8 seconds to go for the Gin Kings.
Gloriani paced Ginebra with seven points, Mary Joy Galicia added four markers, and Bautista wound up with three.
Nelia Sinsioco starred for GlobalPort in the defeat with seven points while as Julie Pearl Gula got three.
In the second game, Alaska survived a late surge from Barako Bull to take the 15-7 victory.
Rica Francisco scored her lone basket in the final 15 seconds to clinch the victory for the Aces.
Vangie Soriano led Alaska with six points while April Siat nabbed five markers. Denise Patricia Tiu also had three in the win.
Barako Bull’s Regina dela Merced drained two long bombs in the final minute as the Energy staged one last comeback bid. She finished with four points, as Janna Averilla had two.
