There’s seemingly something that makes Barangay Ginebra click on the road.

The Gin Kings look to keep their perfect run in games outside the metropolis as they face off with the Mahindra Enforcers in the Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo Sunday.

Two-of-two in out-of-town games but zero-of-three in the metro, the Gin Kings will be out to hit the .500 mark as they battle the Enforcers at 5:15 p.m.

Mahindra, at 1-4, is the clear underdog versus the Gin Kings with their powerhouse roster that finally played to their potential the last time out against the Star Meralco Bolts.

The Gin Kings put up their worthiest showing under coach Tim Cone, making good use of all their advantages to fashion out an 89-64 rout of the Bolts in Binan, Laguna Tuesday.

“We got good contributions really for the first time from our guard core Mark Caguioa, Nico Salva and LA Tenorio. Our guards played really well, they’re under control, and played a good all around performance.

In their previous games, Greg Slaughter and Japeth Aguilar churned out whopping numbers but lacked the needed support from their teammates.

“We came out and we shot the ball well. The most important thing was we played the tempo that we wanted to play — the tempo that kept our big men fresh,” said Cone.

The Gin Kings’ goal is to come out with the same effort against the Enforcers.

Cone said they can’t take lightly the Mahindra team which had decent stands in losses to Alaska Milk, Talk n Text, Rain or Shine and Barako Bull.

The Enforcers pulled a surprise with a 103-93 conquest of the NLEX Road Warriors on Nov. 13.
