Rain or Shine’s Lee still uncertain in KO quarterfinals
The year is almost over but Paul Lee is yet to play a single second this season.
Lee, who inured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), is still an uncertainty for Rain or Shine’s next playoff game in the 2016 PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals, but the burly guard said he’s on track for a full recovery.
“I’m okay. When I was released from the hospital I was okay,” Lee said Saturday after his Elasto Painters nipped the Blackwater Elite, 95-90, at Mall of Asia Arena. “I’m doing shooting drills, some workouts, but I still can’t do any full contact training.”
“Next game I’m still not sure, coach Yeng [Guiao] just tells me to take my time because we’re preventing a re-injury.”
Rain or Shine is set to play TNT, which squeaked past NLEX later, on Monday night in the knockout stages of the quarterfinals.
“If I continue with my workouts the faster my injury would heal, it’s a weak muscle so I have to strengthen it.”
