Lee staying cautious amid return: ‘Ayoko madaliin dahil kumplikado yung injury’
While coach Yeng Guiao have already announced that Paul Lee is going to suit up against San Miguel in the 2016 Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup semifinals, the guard out of Tondo is staying cautious.
“Di ko pa rin sure kasi di pa gaanong kalakas. Kung bukas, lumakas sya at wala akong pakiramdam na masakit, maglalaro ako. Pero hintayin lang natin yung paggaling,” he said.
After missing the entire eliminations for Rain or Shine, Lee has been activated in the quarterfinals but was not deployed by Guiao in the Elasto Painters’ wins against Blackwater and TNT.
In his absence, Guiao drew huge contributions from Jericho Cruz, and rookies Maverick Ahanmisi and Don
Trollano to keep Rain or Shine in the running among the league’s best.
Lee said that he’s taking his recovery one game at a time and would not want to risk aggravating his knee injury.
“Ayoko madaliin dahil kumplikado yung injury. Ayokong m-ainjure ulit at mapahamak yung second conference. Pero tingnan natin,” he said.
