PBA Women’s 3×3: NLEX, Rain or Shine stay unbeaten
NLEX continued to flex its muscle in the PBA Women’s 3×3 Tournament, making quick work of Phoenix, 15-1, Friday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Analyn Almazan showed that her team is a notch higher than the opposition, leading the way with 10 points.
Angelica Ortega also added three markers, while Katherine Sandel chipped a pair of points to extend the Road Warriors’ winning streak to three.
Joan Diego was the lone scorer for Phoenix, which fell to 0-3.
In the second game, Rain or Shine fended off a tough San Miguel squad, 13-7, to remain undefeated in Group
B.
After Lorenzvi Tan and Denyse Jimenez got the Beermen to as close as two, 9-7, before Ara Abaca and Kat Garcia pulled the Elasto Painters away in the clutch to secure their third win in as many games.
Abaca and Garcia both had four points, while sister Nicole Garcia contributed three in the win.
Tan captained the still-winless San Miguel with three points, while Jimenez and Ayra Nil Hufanda both got two markers each.
