Bolts spoil Ramos’ birthday with win over Enforcers

Mahindra forward Aldrech Ramos had the intention of celebrating his 28th birthday on Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum, but the Meralco Bolts just had to play spoilers.
Ramos and the Enforcers took a 94-86 beating at the hands of the Bolts in a game where they were held scoreless in the final three minutes.
“Malungkot, malungkot talaga,” said Ramos, who had 12 points in the loss. “Bawiin ko na lang sa kain.”
Meralco were still down 86-81 in the 3:37 mark of the fourth and Ramos appeared to be on his way to a double celebration but a 13-0 Bolts run came out of nowhere and the birthday boy just had to suck it in.
Ramos and his teammates had several chances to take back the lead, he had an open three from the right corner but it bounced out with more than a minute remaining.
“Parang na mental block kami, nawala sa system namin, di kami maka-stop,” Ramos said. “Di na rin kami maka-shoot at nag patong patong na.”
“Bounce back na lang.”
