PUERTO PRINCESA – With Manny Pacquiao about to enter the boxing ring for one final time, his PBA team Mahindra is just hoping to emulate its head coach’s dedication in the hard court.

“Ang pinakanatutunan namin sa kanya is yung pagiging palaban nya,” said forward Aldrech Ramos.

“Yung motivation nya to keep on fighting and to go hard lagi, yun ang gusto naming tularan. Ginagawa nya yun as a boxer at yun lagi ang ginagamit nya sa amin as inspiration.”

“Through all the chaos and everything, he still presents himself as a true professional and he’s a winner. That’s what we want to be,” added guard Karl Dehesa.

Though Pacquiao has yet to join the Enforcers this conference, the eight division boxing world champ still keeps tabs on his crew from afar.

“Tumawag sya sa amin last game sa Skype,” shared Mark Yee. “Pina-alalahanan nya lang kami ng mga bagay at gusto nya lang makuha namin yung pang-limang panalo.”

Win number five improves Mahindra’s chances of making it to the quarterfinals as it is in a neck-to-neck race with Star for the last playoff spot.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t meant to be as Mahindra fell to TNT, 83-78, on Saturday.

Still, it was an effort Pacquiao could be proud of, as his wards fought tooth-and-nail but just fell short in the end.

And with this game over with, all the Enforcers want is to make it back to Manila in time to watch and support Pacquiao in his third fight against Timothy Bradley.

“Kailangan natin syang suportahan sa laban nya,” said Ramos.
