Under Armour Batang PBA: Rain or Shine, GlobalPort stay unscathed

Rain or Shine once again banked on Christian Allen Vergara as the Elasto Painters scored a 70-56 win over Blackwater in the Under Armour Batang PBA 12 and Under Tournament Monday at Philippine Science High School Gym.

Vergara dropped 13 points, while Julius Christian Francia added 11 markers for Rain or Shine’s fourth win.

Mark Alistaire Pastrana’s 30 points weren’t enough to lift the Elite.

GlobalPort also continued to impress, turning back winless San Miguel, 58-44.

Cassidy Hewel Dacanay shot 10 points, while Joaquin Espina had nine points for the Batang Pier.

Asaiah Mattew Inductivo paced the Beermen with 14 points, while Keith Anthony Wongchuking chipped in 13 in the loss.

In the first game, NLEX continued its winning ways with a 53-44 victory over Star.

Enzo Duane Samson anchored the Road Warriors with 14 points, while Paolo Galotera chimed in 12 markers.

Justin Lloyd Jimenea led the Hotshots with 10 points.

Phoenix also won, after turning back Ginebra, 64-40, in the final game of the day.

Charles Farrel Nobleza and Andre Luke Tablizo teamed up to fire 14 points apiece, while Kurt Patawaran contributed 12 markers to down the hot-shooting Gin Kings.

CJ Malik Due paced Ginebra with 23 points, but failed to draw ample support from his teammates.
