Cloudfone Batang PBA: SMB stays on top
San Miguel kept its stronghold of the top spot in Group B of Cloudfone Batang PBA 16 and Under Tournament Friday at Philippine Science High School Gym.
The Beermen demolished GlobalPort, 90-27 to snare its fourth win in five games.
Etienne Evangelio showed the way for San Miguel with 14 points, while Emmanuel dela Rosa added 12 markers.
Jharles Uy and Raymond Rueda also had 10 points apiece in the win.
San Miguel easily disposed GlobalPort, racing to a 25-3 lead and never looking back.
Kyle Asuncion topped the Batang Pier with 12 points.
In the first game, Rain or Shine eked out a 40-37 decision over Blackwater for its second victory.
Carl Cristobal paced the Batang Pier with 16 points, while Timothy Morris got nine in the win.
Phaul Tang carried the Elite with 17 markers.
Mahindra also nabbed a win over NLEX by default in the third game after the Road Warriors failed to complete the necessary players to start the game.
