Chris Lutz admitted that he has been struggling to cope with his hip injury.

Regularly attending San Miguel’s practices, the 31-year-old has been limited to therapy in the sidelines as his teammates go on the court.

“It’s tough. I’ve been back for about a month and it’s a struggle for it to improve. Sitting out practices is just difficult and stressful,” he said.

Lutz shared that his pelvis injury has caused a lot of pain and has led to other injuries in his body.

“I got something wrong on my pelvis. My left leg is like an inch shorter than my right leg that I feel like I’m walking around with one of my shoe on and the other one off. It’s just causing a lot of problems. My knee hurts, same with my foot and my back,” he said.

It was a nightmare scenario for the 6-foot-3 wingman, who expected his injury to heal as early as six weeks.

“I was getting therapy back in the States. The doctor there said that could be six weeks or longer. It wasn’t really a definitive timetable, but she thought six weeks will be good,” he said. “Then I came back here and it hasn’t improved at all.”

Though he knows he has no other choice but to bid his time and let his injuries heal, Lutz still believes that the Beermen has what it takes to defend their title this 2016 PBA Governors’ Cup.

“I was barely playing last conference so I know they’ll do well and we’ll do well. I’m not worried with my team at all,” he said.
