Winning may come as no surprise for June Mar Fajardo, after all the San Miguel center has collected PBA trophies of all sorts.

He’s a three-time PBA champion and a four-time Best Player of the Conference and on Friday he added another piece to his growing trophy case.

But when Fajardo received his third straight PBA MVP award during the Leo Awards at Smart Araneta Coliseum, it still came as a shock to the 26-year-old center out of Cebu.

“Nakakatuwa, hindi ko ma-explain nararamdaman ko ngayon,” said Fajardo who also won the Samboy Lim Sportsmanship Award. “Hindi ko lubos maisip na makukuha ko pangatlong MVP.”

Fajardo, who was expectedly part of the PBA Mythical Team, is the first player to win the MVP award for three straight years and he is one less trophy behind Alvin Patrimonio and Mon Fernandez for most.

And if Fajardo’s playing favorites with his three MVPs, he treats all the same.

“Pare-parehas sila special and di pa ako nagsasawa,” said Fajardo.
