Paolo Taha may have found his home in the most popular ballclub in the PBA.

Traded by Mahindra in the offseason, Taha is relishing his chance to play for Barangay Ginebra.

“Syempre masaya. Once in a lifetime opportunity na mapunta ka sa Ginebra,” the 6-foot athletic guard said when asked how it feels to suit up for the Kings.

The 25-year old Taha also said his relationship with the other Gin Kings is “solid” despite him being new in the team. He said the Gin Kings treat each other as family.

The former St. Benilde stalwart revealed that the team’s legion of fans makes him eager to play on top of his game.

“Sino ba namang ‘di gaganahan? Talagang malaking factor ‘yung mga fans.”

But Taha is careful not to succumb to the pressure when the wild roars of “kabarangays” come into play.

“‘Yung pressure nandyan naman palagi ‘yan e. Sabi nga ni coach Tim (Cone), kailangang masanay kami sa pressure kasi sa latter part ng tournament mas grabe ‘yung pressure (doon).”

Now on his second year in the league, Taha hopes that his career with Ginebra will last long. Jeremiah Sevilla
