Terrence Romeo had no issues working in the background for GlobalPort when it played Meralco on Friday. But when the team needed him the most, he made sure he was there to save the day again.

The super scorer took charge in the fourth period, unloading 12 of his game-high 27 points to preserve the Batang Pier’s 97-89 triumph over the Bolts.

However, the former FEU star said that the win couldn’t be possible if not for his teammates.

With the supporting cast in full control, GlobalPort established an early 16-point lead, 44-28, in the second period before weathering the storm late.

Despite the Bolts’ best efforts, even tying the game at 74 early in the payoff period with a Chris Newsome dunk, Romeo was just too much to handle he exploded in the final quarter to secure the win.

“Ang option is i-set ako. Thank God, nakapag-deliver pa rin kami,” he said.

The win ended GlobalPort woes and inched it closer to snagging at least one of the top two spots at the end of the eliminations at 4-3.

Kung ibibigay namin yung all-out namin, tapos laurin yung tamang basketball, may chance pa rin sa top two,” he said.

GlobalPort eyes to make it two straight next Friday when it tangles with lowly NLEX.
