The Meralco Bolts beefed up their lineup by signing San Miguel Beermen free agent Chris Lutz.

The former Gilas Pilipinas standout, on Monday, agreed to join the Bolts after sitting out for almost a season due to a hip injury.

After a bridesmaid finish in the Governors’ Cup, Meralco has only 2 games remaining this conference with a frustrating 2-7 record. The Bolts may be out of the playoffs race, but the inclusion of Lutz is expected to improve their performance in the coming Commissioner’s Cup.

Lutz’s experience and energy will prove valuable to the Meralco’s young gunners in Newsome, Amer, Caram, Grey and Daquioag.
