Alaska Aces coach Luigi Trillo believes that his team’s lack of chemistry was one of the reasons why they lost to Talk N’ Text in the last PBA Philippine Cup semis.

However, Trillo is quick to dispel the concern of some experts about Rain or Shine facing the same problem versus the 2-time Philippine Cup defending champion Texters in the Finals.

“Bata yung Rain or Shine, yes. But si Chris Tiu lang bago sa team nila. They’ve been together longer (than us). Coach Yeng (Guiao) has been there for how long, right?” said Trillo while comparing Rain or Shine to Alaska.

Trillo believes the series is going to be a tight one, still favoring the Tropang Texters’ familiarity with each other.

“Kaunting dehado, kaunting-kaunting dehado ang Rain or Shine (in this match-up). The Talk n’ Text crew has been together ng mas matagal na,” stressed the youthful mentor.

“Not taking anything away from Rain or Shine, pero kung titignan mo yung players on paper, mas madami talaga yung materyales ng Talk n’ Text,” emphasized Trillo, while counting the Finals stints of the Manny Pangilinan franchise the last 2 seasons.

“I think it’s going to be an explosive series. Both coaches are well respected, both have been there, both know how to adjust and motivate their teams,” he added.
