NO PRESSURE
Being the lowest percentage shot on the court, the three-point shot takes immense concentration for a shooter to get his bearings and deliver from beyond the arc.
Knowing this, reigning Three-Point Shootout champion Chris Tiu wants no less than to take that pressure off of his back.
“Ayoko masyadong i-pressure yung sarili ko,” he said.
“I’m not really thinking much about it. I’m not even thinking about winning that tournament. I just want to go out there and put up a decent performance, and hopefully, qualify for the final round, and from there, we’ll see what happens.”
With tough competition waiting in the wings, the Rain or Shine guard said that it’s going to be an interesting contest, with Larry Fonacier, Gary David, and Marcio Lassiter being listed as favorites.
“Lahat matindi eh,” Tiu said.
“For me, I just want to participate in the All-Star Weekend and make the fans happy.” (RL)
