A month after being drafted first in the 2014 Gatorade PBA Rookie Draft, Stanley Pringle seems to have accustomed himself well in the GlobalPort fray.

“It’s good. Everything is good. I’m just practicing right now and just getting my rhythm, keep on working hard in the scrimmages,” he said.

The 6-foot-1 playmaker said that what he’s focusing on is just his niche in coach Pido Jarencio’s system, saying, “I’m more focused on getting the rhythm with the team.”

Pringle’s transition to the pros has been a smooth one, and the Batang Pier have been playing a lot of tuneup games in preparation for the coming hardcourt wars. They are bound to fly to Korea next week for a set of exhibition games, something which management sees as a big boost to the squad’s chemistry.

And Pringle is just fine with it.

“We’re gonna keep playing as a team and see where we can get better,” he said. “Coach Pido always emphasizes that even though we miss a shot, we’ll make the next one, we’ll make the next one, and we’ll make the next one. We’ll do better next time.” (RL)
