BOLTS, ENERGY DEBUT WITH NEW C0ACHES
Two teams under new coaches debut on Wednesday in the 2015 PBA Philippine Cup, as Meralco takes on Barako Bull at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Norman Black will now take the lead role in the Bolts camp after an uneventful three years under coach Ryan Gregorio.
Handling the reins for just three weeks to date due to his obligations with the national squad, Black hopes that Meralco would quickly adapt to his system. And so far, the results have been promising, as the Bolts went unscathed in their preseason tuneup games.
“We’re still a work in progress,” Black said, as he will rely on Gary David and Jared Dillinger to lead the squad.
John Wilson, Sean Anthony and Reynel Hugnatan also came through with big games in the preseason.
On the other side of the fence, Barako Bull will have coach Koy Banal leading the squad after coach Siot Tangquingcen stepped down just last Saturday.
The Energy will lean on the leadership of Denok Miranda and JC Intal, as well as their young guns in Carlo Lastimosa, Jeric Fortuna, and RR Garcia.
Game time is at 4:15 p.m. (RL)
