FOCUSED ON THE JOB
Being the most veteran of GlobalPort’s trio of explosive guards, Alex Cabagnot is hoping that whatever news that floats around regarding their team won’t be a distraction for the Batang Pier in the long run.
“Those are just rumors. We can’t pay attention to them,” he said.
On the heels of winning their first game of the season against Barako Bull, Cabagnot said that they would rather focus on their hunger to win.
“We wanted to win last game. Ganun lang talaga. It came to a point na we just lost, breaks of the game,” he said. “This game, we were in the same position and we won.”
“We only focus on what we could focus on and we’re happy that we got the win,” Cabagnot added.
Also, the veteran playmaker hopes that after two games, doubters of their three-guard combo would finally be silenced.
“We got a heavy backcourt rotation so we work hard in practice and we try to contribute as much as possible for the team,” he said.
“The end goal naman talaga is to win. Hopefully, those guys won’t listen to social media much. You can just do what you could do.” (RL)
