DIPOLOG GAME CANCELLED DUE TO SUPER TYPHOON RUBY
The Office of the Commissioner has cancelled the PBA’s out-of-town game in Dipolog City this Saturday between Purefoods Star Hotshots and Barako Bull Energy due to the adverse weather conditions expected to be caused by super typhoon Ruby over the weekend.
Zamboanga del Norte has been identified by PAGASA to be one of the critical areas that may be severely affected by the intense winds (of at least 205 kph) and vast rainclouds of the super typhoon.
The PBA will set another game in Dipolog City this season as soon as its playing schedule permits and wishes the people and basketball fans of the entire province of Zamboanga del Norte the best of health, safety and security in the wake of the coming typhoon.
The game between Purefoods Star and Barako Bull will be played at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, as curtainraiser of a tripleheader that will close the Philippine Cup eliminations.
