Friday the 13th really was a bad day for Barako Bull

Talk ‘N Text sent the surprise top team crashing back to earth courtesy of a 80-75 conquest in the 2015 PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Jayson Castro led Talk ‘N Text with 16 points, seven coming in the payoff period, while Matt Ganuelas-Rosser chimed un 15 markers and added six boards

Willie Miller also had his fair share in the win over his former squad, as he had 13 points in the win.

Despite gaining a share of second place by tying the Energy at a 3-1 card, Talk ‘N Text coach Jong Uichico still wasn’t happy with the way his wards played tonight.

“We still need to get better,” he said. “We had a good first half, but I don’t think we had a good second half. We just escaped with the win.”

JC Intal had two chances to tie the game in the final minute, but he muffed both of his lay-up attempts.

That proved to be Barako Bull’s nightmare as Castro drained a booming trey on the other end to cut short the hot run the Energy had been having at the start of this conference and ending their best start over the last 8 years.

Solomon Alabi led Barako Bull with 21 points and 23 rebounds, while sophomore Carlo Lastimosa had 16 in their first loss of the conference. (RL)
