DANCE OFF 2015

As intense as their battle on-court, players selected in the All-Star Game are also giving their all to win the All-Star Dance-Off.

“This is a real competition. This is life or death,” quipped the South All-Stars’ Joe Devance. “We understand how serious the North All-Stars are and we have to take this as seriously, if not more than them.”

Alongside Cyrus Baguio, Devance is the mastermind for the South’s performance. And the Purefoods forward is hell-bent on taking that P100,000 prize for their squad.

FEATURED STORIES

“You see this face? This is my Game 7 look. We know how serious Arwind (Santos) is and he said he has never lost in a dance-off. We’re taking this equally than how he takes this,” Devance quipped.

Still leaving everything to surprise, Devance opted to not share some tidbits about their pre-game show, but he said, “The theme is to go out and win it, be fierce.”

“Me and Cyrus have been working on some stuff, some secrets. We got some good stuff but it’s really on getting everybody on the same page. We’re just teaching those guys to pick up and level their ante to ours.”

North’s Marc Pingris, meanwhile, is also keeping everything close to his chest.

“Ayaw kong sabihin kasi baka ma-scout ng kabila eh,” he said.

Pingris did give the public a teaser of what they are going to do before the midseason showcase.

“Abangan nyo na lang yung giling ni Ranidel,” he said, while vowing that the North All-Stars will emerge as the victorious side.

“Sa amin talaga yan,” promised Pingris. “Maghanda sila kasi kami pinaghahandaan namin ‘to. Pero ito naman, binabalik lang namin yung kasiyahan sa kanila, sa mga fans.” (RL)
