In an up-and-down conference for Meralco, one guy who can definitely relate to the twists and turns of the Governors’ Cup should be Gary David.

As the Bolts continue to trade wins and losses in every game, David has also been hot and cold in his own right, scoring 20 points in one game and then just producing two points in the next.

Of course, the Bataan gunner is also observing the ride that he is currently in.

FEATURED STORIES

“In-analyze ko rin yung games ko at tinignan ko rin yung previous games,” he said.

But there’s a reason to this, David bares, as he’s trying his best to conform to how the Bolts’ high-scoring import Andre Emmett is playing.

“Understandable naman kasi yung import namin, scorer talaga.

We found our open teammates and made good shots.

Meralco’s 87-72 win over Blackwater perfectly exemplifies this roller coaster ride, as Emmett only had 17 points, a far cry from his usual 30 to 40-point outings, while the rest of the Bolts picked up the slack, led by David’s 16.

(RL)
